Share without Jellyfin user sprawl.
Invite by email or link. Members get one Finderwave login. Revoke access from the portal — no local Jellyfin accounts to delete.
Email invites
From the portal, open your server and enter an email address. Finderwave sends a link to create an account (or sign in if they already have one). After they accept, the server appears in their dashboard.
Email invites are tied to the address you enter. Someone with a different email cannot accept the invite — this prevents accidental or forwarded invite abuse.
Share links
Generate a shareable URL with an optional expiry (default seven days). Anyone with the link can join while it is valid. Use this for small groups where you trust the channel you share through.
You can revoke an outstanding link from the server invites panel without affecting existing members.
Members and plan limits
Each tier caps how many members a server can have. Free allows a small household; paid tiers raise the ceiling. The portal shows your current count and limit before you send invites.
Server owners manage members; members cannot invite others unless you grant owner-level access. For larger communities, see pricing for Pro and Pro Unlimited limits.
Revoking access
Remove a member from the server panel in the portal. Their Finderwave login still works for other servers, but this server disappears from their list immediately.
You and your members can also revoke individual devices from the devices page — useful when someone loses a phone or you want to force a fresh login.
